Flared Schoolhouse Shade

Many of our schoolhouse shades are cast from their antique shade moulds, but not this one, which was quite the challenge to reproduce in the small, medium, and large sizes turn-of-the-century lighting manufacturers offered.

First, we tracked down antique shades in three sizes with the exact same curvature and profile (never a fast, nor an easy process). With originals in hand, we made moulds for each size (very messy and expensive to do).

Many greenbacks and broken prototypes later, period authentic perfection… Ready to bring the softer side of schoolhouse to your kitchen, bedroom, or hallway.
