Reupholstered Three-Seat Sofa by Russel Wright for Conant Ball

The now-defunct Conant Ball Furniture Company of Gardner, Massachusetts grew from humble origins to become a premier producer of American Mid-Century furnishings, propelled by the elegant designs of Russel Wright. This rare and beautifully reupholstered three-seat sofa, designed by Wright for Conant Ball in the 1950s, is a stunning testament to the producer and the era. New cushions were patterned on the originals, and tastefully upholstered in a rich blue basketwoven linen. The maple frame is in sound condition, showing wear commensurate with its age.
