  • Durable and fireproof, the Simmons Manufacturing Company was best known for making pressed steel furnishings in styles popular during the 1920s and 1930s. During this time, industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes created a collection of modern bedroom furniture for Simmons, expanding their base line to include additional pieces in new functional styles. These steel designs rarely maintain their original finish—this piece shows character-worn remnants of vibrant blue on its exterior while its interior drawers preserved the color beautifully.

Our Simmons offerings have been carefully restored by our team of experts in our Portland restoration studio, and often maintain their original hardware.
